After the stupendous success of 2020, Bharat Exhibitions is pleased to present the 8th edition of their industry flagship event – Data Centre India 2021 Virtual Conference on 18th November 2021 at 1030 hrs to 1330 hrs IST. Driven by growth in digitalisation, rising cloud adoption and ambitious growth plans of operators, India’s data centre industry is expected to double capacity and cross the 1GW mark by 2023. The conference will be a dynamic forum for senior executives of leading enterprises to understand and formulate strategies to enhance their data centre infrastructure in line with business needs.
The pandemic has exemplified the importance of data centers and cloud computing for the world. Even as COVID-19 ravaged one country after another, data centers served as the linchpin for the global economy, supporting a massive shift to online services for schools, businesses and non-profits. For several enterprises, a digital transformation that was expected to take years was compressed into a matter of days and weeks. As entire business models are getting reset, and digital has come to be at the front and centre in this transformation, the growth in cloud and data centre market will continue unabated.
The another important component for enterprises of every scale is building secure, smart and resilient data centers which maintain high levels of security. In a post covid world where everything that one does has been shifting to a virtual platform, safety is at risk and companies have to scale up and boost their data centers to prevent data attacks from taking place. Attacks are becoming more sophisticated and more frequent. These trends require a steady evaluation of security readiness.
The new data policy center policy which is being finalized by the government will also play a big part in setting up a national framework aimed at attracting more investment through simplified rules and improved ease of doing business. Making India a Global Data Centre hub, promote investment in the sector, propel digital economy growth, enable provisioning of trusted hosting infrastructure to fulfil the growing demand of the country and facilitate state of the art service delivery to citizens. The government is formulating a scheme to incentivize investments to set-up hyper scale data centers in India and boost the capacity of the existing data centre ecosystem, besides working on new segments like drones and robotics to develop their manufacturing ecosystem in India.
