ICSLT-O-COCOSDA 2004 International Conference & Exhibition

The International Conference on Speech and Language Technology (ICSLT 2004) was organized by C-DAC, Noida (India) during November 17-19, 2004. The purpose of ICSLT 2004 was to promote research on the Speech and Language Technology by bringing together researchers, practitioners, and language & speech experts at one platform to exchange their ideas and results of their work and expertise developed. The key focus areas of the conference were Speech Synthesis and Recognition technologies, Machine Aided Translation, Multilingual corpora and content creation, Optical Character Recognition and Digital Library.
Oriental COCOSDA was an international workshop held by the oriental chapter of The International Committee for the Co-ordination and Standardization of Speech Databases and Assessment Techniques for Speech Input/Output. The first preparatory meeting was held in Hong Kong and then the past six workshops were held in Japan, Taiwan, China Mainland, Korea, Thailand and Singapore. The seventh workshop was held in India this year.
